AACA has served and advocated for the needs of immigrants and other economically disadvantaged people since 1967.

Today AACA serves clients from over 125 countries. Focused on economic self-sufficiency and participation in American society, AACA provides a range of services, including English classes, social services, job training, college preparation and a post-graduate retention program.

Everett’s Office of Human Services provides information and resources to Everett residents.  They offer various programs, including, emergency assistance, elderly medical and nutritional shopping, transportation and holiday assistance.  Common questions that they receive include topics such as food stamps, fuel assistance, evictions, utility termination, Mass Health, Elderly Transportation, food pantries, shelters and housing questions, domestic violence, transitional assistance, etc.

The goal of the EFRC is to connect those looking for help to the appropriate services whether within the EFRC itself, Eliot, or other places in the community. EFRC staff can help families find resources regarding: housing support, utility assistance, legal help, parenting, grandparents support, teen activities, sports leagues, and more!

Children and families who need additional support or are at risk of court involvement can be assessed by EFRC clinicians and develop a Family Support Plan to address the child’s needs.

The EFRC hosts and facilitates groups and events to strengthen families by giving them the tools they need through education and engagement.

They believe that early, nurturing relationships are the foundation for  healthy development. HFA is a home visiting program for first-time parents age 24 and under. The local Healthy Families Melrose/Wakefield serves Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham, and Wakefield.

Aging in Balance is a senior outreach program providing educational programs, blood pressure monitoring and ask-a-nurse clinics at low-income elder housing sites and community-based venues. They offer evidence-based educational programs on a variety of topics, based on the needs of our communities, such as sleep health, improving balance for fall prevention, meditation and heart health.
